Sydney Water has a long-running campaign called ‘tap’, promoting the sustainability benefits of drinking safe, clean tap water. As part of the campaign they sponsor Taronga Zoo. Our brief was to promote drinking tap water to zoo visitors, based on the message that, at the zoo, all the animals drink tap too.
Because sustainability is at the heart of the message, we wanted to keep waste to a minimum. Our idea was to use the paper water cups that Sydney Water was already supplying to zoo visitors at various water stations around the zoo. We overprinted them with animal noses and invited visitors to #tapandsnap a pic of themselves drinking tap like the animals do, and upload to facebook and instagram for a chance to win great zoo prizes. This was a great success for the zoo and Sydney Water.
